Zayda Steel officially appeared on this week’s Ring of Honor episode, marking her debut with the promotion.
Tuesday’s special episode of Ring of Honor saw Zayda Steel made her first on-screen appearance during a backstage interview with Lexy Nair and Leila Grey. While Grey was speaking, Nair introduced Steel, who had requested some time to speak.
Steel then stepped forward and delivered her first message to Leila Grey. She said she may be new to the promotion, but many already know her as “the real deal.” She praised Grey’s work and challenged her to a match, saying, “From one baddy to another, what do you say?”
Leila Grey accepted the challenge, responding, “All right… I respect it. You want it? You got it. But I’m warning you. I can be a real baddie when I want to.” The match doesn’t have an official date yet, but both women made it clear they’re ready to face each other soon.
For fans, Zayda Steel may look familiar, as she was previously part of WWE’s NIL/Next In Line program. A few months ago, it was confirmed that Steel would not be renewing her contract with WWE. Following that announcement, reports surfaced that AEW had shown interest in bringing her in.
