CM Punk’s Look On WWE TV Influenced By New Movie

CM Punk had a hand in shaping the appearance of his character in the new movie Night Patrol.

Night Patrol tells the story of local street gangs who battle a group of police officers who are also a deadly group of vampires.

“An LAPD officer must put aside his differences with the area’s street gangs when he discovers a local police task force is harboring a horrific secret that endangers the residents of the housing projects he grew up in,” the official synopsis reads.

WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard spoke with Night Patrol director Ryan Prows about CM Punk’s role in the film. Prows, a noted pro wrestling fan, praised Punk for what he brought to the role. He said Punk was very involved in the filmmaking process and shared how he worked with CM Punk to nail down his look in the film, noting that it was also something he’d need to be able to pull off to stay on WWE TV.

“[He was] really involved in how his hair looked and how his beard looked, and all of that during his [WWE] run while he was doing that. We were kinda having to coordinate that. Because we shot in the fall of 2024, so it was when he was just getting back and getting going,” Prows said.

“It was more just—he was game for it, it was just, we got to all sort of weigh in on what his look was going to be on WWE [TV], which that was cool to me, just on a nerd tip,” Prows continued. “But once he picked the beard and all that, he kept it groomed and did all of that. He was just like, ‘OK, that’ll be my look’ for however long [it needs to be.] He’s like, ‘I can’t then change it. Once you make a decision, that’s what it’s going to be because I’m going to be on TV while we’re doing it.”

Night Patrol will hit theatres on January 16, 2026.
