CM Punk stars in the upcoming vampire action horror movie Night Patrol. During a recent event, it was revealed that he spilled some real blood while filming.
During the film’s premiere event this weekend (via TMZ), musician Freddie Gibbs and several others spoke about the movie. It was there that Gibbs revealed that, while filming, he accidentally cut Punk with a gun during a scene. The event caused the take to stop, and Punk had to go get medical attention.
“It was a scary moment, for real, but I’m going to tell the truth,” Gibbs said. “I haven’t told anybody this sh-t either, I thought CM Punk was mad at me for real, for an hour. I was walking around that motherf-cker for a while like, this might be a real fight in this motherf-cker with a wrestler. I’m not going to win this sh-t. When we did the scene when I had to shoot him when he was trying to get in the apartment, I had the gun, and I swung that shit up, and it cut his hand for real.”
Gibbs recalled that he was worried that Punk would be angry. Thankfully, he wasn’t, and the two ended up finishing the scene fine. “I said damn, this motherf-cker got injured for real, and it’s my fault. He’s gonna f-ck me up.”
Night Patrol is directed by Ryan Prows, and alongside Punk and Gibbs, stars Jermaine Fowler, Justin Long, Cyler, YG, Nicki Micheaux, Flying Lotus, and Dermot Mulroney. The movie releases on January 16, 2026.
