Conor McGregor Compares Himself To Jesus Christ In ‘Divine’ Wedding Announcement

Conor McGregor is a happily married man, and he happens to believe in signs, too.

McGregor and his long-time partner, Dee Devlin, got married last month at the Vatican. While sharing photos of the ceremony on social media, McGregor highlighted several “divine” coincidences related to the ceremony. McGregor pointed out that he got married on December 12 (12/12) at 12:12 pm, and used gematria to highlight the similarities between his name and Jesus Christ’s.

“I married the love of my life, Dee, on the 12th of the 12th at exactly 12:12pm. We wed in the Chapel of Santo Stefano degli Abissini — the Vatican’s oldest church. ⛪️ The date was precisely 151 days after my birthday. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ — His name adds up to 151 in gematria. As does my own. Jesus Christ = 151 ? Conor McGregor = 151 ?

“These divine alignments, the wedding on 12/12 at exactly 12:12pm in the Vatican’s oldest church, exactly 151 days after my birthday, tying into the numerology of my name matching that of Jesus Christ, and even the connection to Psalm 151 (a powerful, personal testament of David’s journey and victory through faith) are unmistakable signs of divine orchestration that I had no idea about.”

Conor McGregor says the wedding actually got moved up, at the Vatican’s request

McGregor said that he didn’t plan the time of the ceremony, which was actually moved up at the request of the Vatican. The former UFC Champion believes all of these signs confirmed God giving his blessing to the Union. He added that “serving God is my number one priority.”

Conor McGregor has not fought since breaking his leg during a 2021 loss to Dustin Poirier. He had announced a bid to run for President of Ireland, but ended his campaign in September.

He is currently serving an 18-month suspension for an anti-doping test failure. However, he will be eligible to compete again starting on March 20, 2026. Despite not being able to compete yet, McGregor recently called out Floyd Mayweather for a fight at the reported UFC White House event in June.
