WWE Changing Its Approach To Scouting Talent In 2026 — Report

WWE is reportedly looking for something different in regard to their talent in 2026 compared to recent years.

The WWE Performance Center has taken a different approach in the last several years when it comes to scouting the future men and women of the company. A decision was made at one point to stop looking toward the indies and scout collegiate athletes instead. But it appears the company will be going back to its roots in 2026.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE will be holding a significant number of tryouts this year with various independent talent. With the idea being that they can bring in more indie talent and fewer college athletes.

William Regal and Gabe Sapolsky will be searching the independent scene, looking for talents with the right body type who can cut a promo.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
