WWE Star Seth Rollins Knows He’s Closer to the End of His Career

WWE star Seth Rollins admitted he understands he is closer to the end of his wrestling career.

Speaking on ESPN First Take with Stephen A. Smith, Seth Rollins spoke about the physical toll his has took on his body over the years. He said years of wear and tear have caught up with him after more than two decades in the business.

He said, “I’ve got some chronic pain going on, that’s for sure. I’m almost 40 now. I’ve been doing this for over 20 years… I am about 22 years deep into this wrestling thing and I think I’m probably closer to the end than I am to the beginning.”

He stressed that acknowledging the passage of time does not mean he plans to step away soon. Despite dealing with pain, Rollins assured that he still believes he is still performing at a very high level. “I’m still under 40 and I feel like I’ve got a lot of years left. I feel like I’m really just in the middle of my prime right now. The physical hasn’t declined and mentally I’m as sharp as I’ve ever been. So, there’s a lot left in the Seth Rollins tank, Stephen A” [H/T: wrestlingnews.co]

Rollins is currently sidelined with a shoulder injury he suffered in October during his match against Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel. That injury forced him to give up the World Championship.
