WWE Legend Rob Van Dam Teases Wrestling More Often in 2026

WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam says he feels “awesome” after suffering a serious injury in April 2025 — and now he’s hinting that 2026 could be busier than expected.

After nearly a year away from the ring, the Whole F’n Show may be ready for an encore.

Van Dam confirmed he has not wrestled since April 2025, when he broke both his heels during an MLW match.

The injury occurred after a push from the top rope resulted in an awkward landeding on the floor. “The last match I had was in April [2025]… when I broke [my heels] for MLW,” he explained, describing the recovery as “a bit of a comeback.”

The injury forced him to cancel several plans, though he still fulfilled WrestleMania week appearances in Las Vegas. At the time, initial reports suggested an ankle issue. However, X-rays later confirmed that both heels were broken.

Now, nearly a year later, Van Dam offered a positive health update (via RVDTV). “I feel awesome,” he said, adding that his feet are no longer holding him back from “running, training, spinning, kicking.” For a performer known for defying gravity, that’s a leap in the right direction.

What’s more intriguing is his outlook for the year ahead. “I’m getting so many wrestling requests… maybe I’ll wrestle a little more than I thought I would this year,” Van Dam teased. He joked that the demand has even made him “reconsider the value” of his bookings.

RVD is already scheduled to appear for a WWE World signing during WrestleMania 42 weekend on April 20 in Las Vegas. While confirmation about an in-ring return has not come to light, the legend’s comments suggest fans shouldn’t rule out seeing him lace up the boots again.

After breaking both heels, Van Dam may be walking — and possibly wrestling — back into 2026 with renewed momentum.
