WWE Raw Results:
The Usos enter the arena through the crowd. During the party, Paul Heyman and the Vision interrupt. The crowd drowns out Heyman. Logan Paul grabs the mic and says… stuff. The Usos are still in the crowd, looking confused. Heyman throws to a video of the Masked Man attacking Austin Theory last week. Theory rants about losing last week. Raw GM Adam Pearce walks out and says they can talk about this in his office.
Theory accuses Pearce of screwing him. Heyman says if Pearce wants his show back, Bronson Reed needs to be added to the Chamber. Pearce says he has no issue with that, as long as Reed earns his way in via a match next week. LA Knight interrupts and says he wishes Reed made it into the Chamber so he could beat his you know what. Knight wants a six-man tag tonight. The Usos agree. Pearce books the match for right now.
Grade: C
This segment was disjointed from the jump and went on way too long. There had to be a more entertaining way to get to this six-man tag match.
LA Knight and The Usos vs. The Vision
Knight and the Usos are in control early. Theory and Reed take over after a high/low on Knight. After the break, the Vision continues their assault on Knight. Knight manages to tag in Jey. Jey clears the ring. Knight drops Theory with a BFT out on the floor. Reed spears Knight through the barricade. Jimmy and Jey catch Paul with the 1D. Reed breaks up the pin. Reed flattens Jimmy and Jey with a dive. Paul nails Jimmy with a loaded right hand. Reed follows that with a Tsunami.
Winners- The Vision
After the match, Paul grabs Michael Cole’s headset and yaps about the Vision. The Masked Man teleports into the arena and Stomps Paul on the commentary desk.
Grade: C+
Standard TV six-man match. The Masked Man popping Paul was pop worthy, but telegraphed as soon as Paul thought he was Howard Cosell.
Women’s Elimination Chamber Triple Threat Qualifying Match: Bayley vs. Asuka vs. Nattie
Nattie controls much of the early going. After the break, Bayley manages a tree of woe elbow to Nattie and a superplex to Asuka. Everyone trades strikes. Nattie Germsn suplexes Bayley on the apron. Asuka pulls Nattie back into the ring and locks in the Asuka Lock. Nattie turns it into a pint. Asuka kicks out.
Nasty powerbomb by Nattie. Asuka kicks out. Nattie traps Asuka in the Sharpshooter. Bayley breaks it up with a knee trembler. Asuka knocks Nattie out of the ring with a hip attack. Bayley-to-Belly! Asuka kicks out! Bayley knocks Nattie off the apron. Asuka rolls Bayley into a flying Asuka Lock. Bayley taps out.
Winner- Asuka
After the match, Maxxine Dupri attacks Nattie.
Grade: B-
Solid Triple threat. No long periods of someone disappearing for no real reason. Nattie tried to commit murder on live TV. Good stuff here.
Look in my Eyes…
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk notes that the higher-ups are upset with him for putting the WrestleMania main event in jeopardy. Finn Bálor deserved a shot weeks ago, and now Bálor has earned this a$$whipping he has coming to him at the Elimination Chamber. Bálor inturupts. The Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio and a returning JD McDonagh flank Bálor. Bálor says he just came out here to make one thing clear. Bálor says he’s the best in the world. Punk asks why these two idiots are with Bálor.
Punk points out that when Bálor was great, he did it by himself. The crowd cheers as Punk tells Bálor that the Judgement Day is an anchor around Bálor’s neck. Punk turns his back on Bálor and tells The Judgement Day to do their worst. Punk doesn’t need anyone’s help, but maybe Bálor does. Bálor holds McDonagh back as Punk leaves, but on the way out, he tosses the mic at Bálor, which hits him square in the chest.
Grade: B-
Good segment, but Punk seemed to lose his train of thought halfway through. This is the downside to freestyling every Monday Night; they can’t all be winners. Side note: happy to see McDonagh back on Raw.
El Grande Americano walks to the ring for his Intercontinental Championship number one contender’s match against a mystery opponent.
Intercontinental Championship Number One Contender’s Match: El Grande Americano vs. Penta
After a back-and-forth contest, Americano kicks out of a Penta Driver. Penta kicks out of a running headbutt from Americano. Bravo attempts to give Americano the metal plate for his mask, but someone drags Bravo under the ring. It’s OG Americano. OG Americano takes out Americano’s flunkies. Penta surprises Americano with a springboard Mexican Destroyer for the win.
Winner- Penta
After the match, Penta fist bumps OG Americano. OG Americano attacks Americano. The flunkies save Americano from getting his mask taken off.
Grade: B-
Fun match. Not much to add. Though entertaining, this one didn’t have much heat, despite the previous issues between Penta and Americano. Both men tried to make the most of it, but this one fell a bit flat till the finish. OG Americano is getting pretty tepid responses, not sure this angle has the legs they think.
Light it Up
AJ Lee notes that it’s been a long time since she had a single match, let alone a match for a championship. Lee was proud to wear the butterfly belt because she made that championship. Lee wants to face everyone in the locker room, but for now, all roads lead back to Becky Lynch. The crowd cheers as Lee notes that she gave Lynch a 10-year head start, but she still can’t keep up. Lee invites Lynch to the ring because she’s got something for that a$$.
Becky Lynch walks to the ring. Lynch mocks Lee for thinking this is an opportunity for a title run. No, this is an opportunity for Lee to have a retirement match. Lee wants to throw hands right now. To get Lynch in the ring, Lee offers Lynch a free swing. Lynch gets in the ring. Lee tries to push Lynch to hit her. Lynch says Lee is trying to get hurt so she doesn’t have to wrestle at the Chamber. Lynch doesn’t fight in Memphis. Lynch storms off.
Grade: C+
This was just fine, but seemed like a rehash of Punk’s segment with Bálor earlier. Odd choice. This angle could use a good brawl.
