CM Punk gives fellow WWE Superstar Seth Rollins his flowers.
During a recent appearance on ESPN’s Unsportsmanlike, WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk shared high praise for Seth Rollins.
The Straight Edge Superstar compared his journey to Rollins’, noting that neither fit the traditional WWE Superstar archetype when they debuted. Despite not having the prototypical look, both went on to become multi-time world champions and cornerstone figures for the company.
“Seth Rollins is a great example of that. He’s a guy who fit the same mold I did. He didn’t have the size. You wouldn’t look at him and think, ‘Oh yeah, he’s a world champion.’ Now he’s a multiple-time heavyweight champion and, as much as it pains me to say it, one of the greatest superstars of the last 10 or 12 years,” CM Punk said.
AJ Lee also briefly broke kayfabe to praise Becky Lynch before turning her attention to their upcoming clash for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at WWE Elimination Chamber this Saturday.
“I love me some Becky. I feel like it’s admiration,” said AJ. “I think we’re very, very similar. I know I’m the best of my generation, and I know she’s the best of hers. So it’s sort of a morbid fascination with how I can beat the best and whether I can show that I can still go. I love her. I respect her. And I want to beat her pretty little face in.”
Elsewhere on the card, CM Punk will defend the world title against Finn Bálor.
As for Seth Rollins, the former World Heavyweight Champion recently teased a potential return to in-ring action. Rollins has been sidelined with a shoulder injury since October 2025.
