WWE‘s CM Punk looks to be in great shape in a new UFC promo video.
Amid his absence from WWE television, former World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk appeared in an Instagram promotional video for UFC Rivals. Hosted by Mario Lopez, the show premieres this Sunday on A&E at 8 PM EST. Punk will serve as a roundtable panelist and expert analyst alongside Ken Shamrock, Michael Bisping, and Miesha Tate.
CM Punk looked absolutely jacked in the video, and despite wearing a shirt, it was pretty obvious he’s noticeably larger than before. The Straight Edge Superstar has been working very hard in the gym over the past few months. A fan recently posted a gym clip on social media, where he didn’t recognize him at first because he was “yoked af now,” and also joked Punk had tried “John Cena’s routine.”
Former AEW star defends CM Punk against steroid use allegations
CM Punk’s larger physique has become a talking point online and has sparked accusations of steroid use. However, former AEW star Cezar Bononi defended the Straight Edge Superstar and called the accusations “the most absurd thing.”
He praised CM Punk’s work ethic and coach Jay Ferruggia, saying the WWE star’s physique is “very, very achievable naturally” and shows “zero indications of any steroids.” He also criticized people online for jumping to conclusions too quickly whenever they see an impressive physical transformation.
CM Punk has been absent from WWE television since RAW after WrestleMania 42, and recent reports suggest that he could return on the July 6 episode of RAW in Chicago. It was also reported that the promotion has plans to move Punk to SmackDown following his return as a balancing act since RAW has stars like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Jacob Fatu, and Oba Femi. The promotion also recently announced his appearance at Fanatics Fest on July 18.
