Finn Balor Reacts To WWE Fans Who Say He Doesn’t Belong In WrestleMania Main Event

Finn Balor has a strong response to all the critics who say he doesn’t belong in a WWE WrestleMania main event.

Finn Balor will get the opportunity to main event WrestleMania for the first time if he defeats CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at the Elimination Chamber PLE. While reports indicate he has a good chance at winning the title this Saturday, some fans believe Balor doesn’t belong in the main event of WrestleMania 42 with 2026 men’s Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns.

Reacting to the criticism, Finn Balor said during an interview with Adrian Hernandez that he doesn’t pay any heed to the online naysayers.

“You know, doubters online that are sitting on a computer, tweeting and talking, doesn’t really enter my mindspace at all,” Finn Balor began. “People who I listen to are my bosses and my colleagues. To have the respect of your peers is something that is way more valuable than the support of a small group of doubters.”

Finn Balor explained why he deserves to main event WrestleMania more than anyone else

Speaking further, Finn Balor noted that after everything he went through for over 25 years in his career, he absolutely deserves to main event WrestleMania.

“If after 25 years I’m doing everything in the business, from learning catch wrestling for six years, to going to Japan and studying in the dojos for 8 years, to coming to WWE and being a success, not a ‘what if’, not a failure. ‘He got injured and relinquished the title’, no I showed up in WWE, beat Roman on my first night and beat Seth on my first PPV three weeks later to become the first Universal Champion,” Finn Balor continued.

“Being from a small town in Ireland with no wrestling schools, no wrestling promotions, barely wrestling on the TV, for me that’s a success story. So if I don’t belong on the WrestleMania poster, I don’t know who does,” Finn Balor said. [H/T WrestleTalk]
