WWE Legend Beating Up Matt Damon In A Bar Story Is Legit, Says Booker T

Booker T says Brian Knobbs beating up Matt Damon in a bar is a true story.

There is an age-old story that Brian Knobbs of the Nasty Boys once beat up actor Matt Damon in a Boston bar. While many considered it an urban legend over the years, WWE legend Booker T vouched for its authenticity during a past episode of his Hall of Fame podcast.

The story has been shared over the years, with co-host Brad Gilmore recently resharing the clip on social media. Booker T noted that while he doesn’t remember where it took place, his brother Stevie Ray was there, and he confirmed that Brian Knobbs did beat up Matt Damon that day.

However, Booker did note that the incident happened when Damon was starting in Hollywood, so Knobbs probably didn’t know who he was.

“Knobbs beat him up. That’s a true story. That’s not a legend. Somewhere, I can’t remember where it was,” Booker T said. “Look, I don’t know exactly what happened, but my brother was there. Knobbs beat up Matt Damon in the bar.

“The thing is, they probably didn’t know who Matt Damon was. Knobbs probably didn’t know. Matt Damon was just a kid back then. He was just getting started,” Booker added.

Booker T reacts to getting the worst commentator award

Speaking on a recent episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T reacted to getting voted the worst television announcer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter‘s annual awards.

“For an award like this to even be out there, it’s asinine. Because, there again, Dave Meltzer, or anyone at the Wrestling Observer, knows what it takes as far as what that job entails,” Booker T explained. “But he somehow finagled his way into being called a wrestling aficionado, a wrestling historian, whatever. And no dig on that or anything, but something like this is redundant. It makes no sense. Personally, I don’t take a knock, it’s just Meltzer taking a shot at me. Probably because of what happened on the Jericho Cruise. A lot of people don’t know that story, but I cornered Dave Meltzer and told him I would rip his ears right off of his body. That’s what I said.”
