Rhea Ripley is officially going to WWE WrestleMania 42.
The WWE Women’s Elimination Chamber match opened up the titular PLE tonight. Kiana James and Tiffany Stratton started the contest with Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, and Raquel Rodriguez entering next in that order.
Tiffany Stratton took some early punishment at the hands of Kiana James. Alexa Bliss took things up a notch, delivering a Twisted Bliss onto the other contenders from the top of a pod. However, she became the first one to get eliminated after Asuka sprayed her with the mist, enabling James to pin her.
WWE RAW’s Raquel Rodriguez then powerslammed Kiana James through a pod and then performed a Tejana Bomb on Asuka onto a downed James. She then stacked them on top of each other and performed a double pin.
However, she was the next one to go. Rhea Ripley took her out from the top turnbuckle with a dive off the pod, and Tiffany Stratton followed it up with a Prettiest Moonsault Ever to eliminate her.
Tiffany Stratton tried to do the same with Rhea Ripley, but the Eradicator was quick to shove the former WWE Women’s Champion onto the pod and then hit her with the Riptide to score the pin and win the match.
Rhea Ripley then locked eyes with reigning WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill, who had purchased a suite at the United Center to watch the match. The two superstars will square off at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas for the title, and fans can expect a banger from the powerhouses.
