Ronda Rousey: Dana White Knows UFC’s White House Fight Card Sucks Too

Ronda Rousey claims Dana White isn’t happy with the UFC White House fight card

Appearing at an event to promote her upcoming fight with Gina Carano on Netflix, the former WWE RAW Women’s Champion responded to questions about her earlier remarks that Dana White wasn’t upset with her for the return fight.

Rousey said Dana White is well aware that the UFC White House card fell short of expectations, especially after being promoted for more than a year. According to the former UFC Champion, White is likely just as unhappy with how things turned out, but he also taught her through example not to take situations like that personally.

“Oh, he knows the White House card sucks,” Rousey said. “He knows that they were pushing this for over a year, and it fell extremely short of expectations. I mean, he was so upset about it that he was talking about a fight falling out the day before. You know, I can guarantee you he’s not happy with it either. He’s the one who taught me, through example, to never take it personally.”

Ronda Rousey takes shot at UFC White House Card ahead of Netflix fight event

On social media, Ronda Rousey compared the two events and took a shot at her former MMA promotion. Rousey said that this is what happens when fighters and fans are put ahead of company shareholders.

UFC Freedom 250 will take place at the White House on June 14, 2026. The fight card will be headlined by Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje. Former two-division champion Alex Pereira is facing heavyweight contender Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title in the co-main event.

As for Ronda Rousey, the “Baddest Woman on the Planet” is making her MMA return for the first time in a decade when she takes on Gina Carano in a featherweight bout on May 16. The fight will stream on Netflix and is promoted by Jake Paul and Nakissa Bidarian’s Most Valuable Promotions.
