JBL recently shared a story about a prank involving Big Show’s entrance that left the superstar extremely angry.
The incident happened during a WWE live event in Germany. When Big Show made his entrance, the arena suddenly played “All Star” from the Shrek soundtrack instead of his usual theme music. According to JBL, Big Show immediately turned red with anger and ran toward the ring to stop the music.

While speaking on the Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast, JBL explained how the situation started. He said Big Show had already been upset earlier because fans brought Shrek-themed items for him to sign.
He said, “Somehow somebody got a Shrek card and a fan went up to Big Show to get it signed and he was not very happy about it. And he thought that I was part of the group. I won’t say who else was in the group. He thought I was part of the group. Then there were some more Shrek-ish things that had happened.”
He then described what happened during the show in Germany. “And then all of a sudden I’m in the ring with Kurt Angle. And we’re in Germany, I think we were. And Big Show’s coming out. Here comes the Big Show. And Kurt Angle says, what is that? I said, that’s Shrek’s theme music. And Kurt goes, he’s gonna kill us.”
JBL joked that Big Show quickly ran toward the ring after hearing to the entrance song. “He starts sprinting toward the ring. And I said, don’t worry, Kurt. I’ll take blame for it. I did it. And when he got to the ring, I swear Kurt did it. I had nothing to do with it.”
“He finally gets me in the corner. I go, go ahead and chop me a big ogre. He hit me so hard. He hit me so hard. I thought he broke my ankles. He hit the chest. I thought he broke my ankles. He has crumbled me. He’s hurt me. Just let me go for a minute. I’ll assess the damage.”
Meanwhile, The Undertaker said Big Show was also upset backstage and complained that the situation was unprofessional while JBL took most of the blame.
