WWE‘s Jade Cargill has called out the racist messages she received on social media.
Reigning WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill has often faced criticism from online fans over her rise to the top in the company and her in-ring abilities. However, some of that criticism turned into outright racism as some fans sent her some hurtful messages on her DMs.
She shared screenshots of the messages on her Instagram stories, which have since disappeared. Jade Cargill noted that she receives similar messages every day, but instead of being upset, she’s determined to continue in her successful ways in WWE.
“I have so many more. But it’s no point in showing them. Anywayyyy. I hope they feel better. Cause they won’t stop my black a*s from being successful lmaoooo,” Jade Cargill wrote.
“The sh*t I get is unreal. My DMs are flooded with it daily. Always has been. Idk why I’m showing it now. But yeah… this is nothing compared to what I get. But it’s sad,” Jade Cargill wrote.
“I get the most racist stuff. It’s so sick. Anyway. Comes with it I guess. Won’t stop me though.
Jade Cargill reacts to criticism that she skipped the line in WWE
During her recent interview on the Joe Budden Podcast, Jade Cargill addressed the criticism that she walked over the other talent to get to the top in WWE. Cargill noted that she does what the promotion expects from her and that no wrestler would reject the opportunities if they were in her position.
“I do what I’m told. At the end of the day, me being skyrocketed to the top, that’s a lot on my shoulders, too. And people sit back, and they go, ‘Oh sh*t, she got this,” like, who in the hell is gonna say no?” Jade Cargill asked. “Nobody’s gonna say no. They’ll go, ‘Hell yeah, give it to me,’ and that’s a lot on my shoulders because I have to go out there and I have to perform.
“It’s not a cakewalk that people think it is, and I have to be able to have tough skin and deal with the critics and all the stuff that’s gonna come with it. People think it’s so easy to be at the top, and they’re like, ‘Oh, you should be able to handle this.’ I’m a freakin human. I put on my pants just like everybody else. I just gotta go out there and do the damn thing. So I couldn’t care less. Guess what? I’m getting paid,” Jade Cargill said.
