Roman Reigns Sends Bold Warning to Jacob Fatu After WWE RAW Goes Off Air

Roman Reigns sends a message to his upcoming challenger.

A chaotic contract signing resulted in Roman Reigns getting slammed through a table by his cousin Jacob Fatu on WWE Raw this week. Still, Reigns asserted that their next encounter, taking place WWE Backlash, would produce a much different picture.

After Raw went off the air, Reigns delivered a bold warning to Fatu.

“Don’t let tonight fool you,” Reigns said (footage via Matt Kempke). “Saturday at Backlash will not look like this, I promise you. I busted my ass for too long. I’ve held my ground in this company for too long, and I ain’t letting it go just yet, nah. In Tampa, that’s where we have to hold it down. But here in Omaha,, this is where we realize what has to happen. At Backlash, I’m whooping Jacob’s ass. At Backlash, it’s ‘and still’ [World Heavyweight Champion]. At Backlash, you’re looking at this Head of the Table and the Tribal Chief, above all.”

Reigns captured the WWE World Heavyweight Championship by defeating CM Punk in the main event of WrestleMania 42. One day later, Fatu confronted “The Tribal Chief” on Raw, making it clear that he was eyeing the very same title as well. Now, Reigns will defend the World Heavyweight Title against Fatu set in Tampa, Florida, on May 9.

Elsewhere at Backlash, Seth Rollins will take on his former Vision stablemate, Bron Breakker. Meanwhile, newly-crowned United States Champion Trick Williams will put his title on the line against Sami Zayn.
