Triple H Told WWE Star To Avoid Social Media After Main Roster Debut

Social media plays a significant role in the lives of pro wrestlers these days. But sometimes, it can be hard to deal with after a botched move, a bad promo, or a bad performance. Triple H, being a veteran in the business, knows that harsh reality, and recently, rising WWE star Sol Ruca revealed what he advised her regarding social media.

Ruca made her official main roster debut on the May 4 episode of WWE RAW. General Manager Adam Pearce introduced her to the crowd and officially gave her a contract. The segment got heated when Becky Lynch interrupted the moment and got into a confrontation with the rising star.

After some verbal exchanges, Ruca went to hit her Sol Snatcher finisher on Lynch. However, she slipped at the bottom rope, which created an awkward moment that looked like a botch. Still, Ruca managed to finish the move, also thanks to the mindfulness of veteran Lynch.

Following that, some fans started trolling and criticizing Ruca on social media. WWE also edited out the botch when the clip was uploaded on official accounts, which was also noticed by fans.

After that, Triple H personally reached out to Ruca to support her.

Sol Ruca says Triple H reassured her after fan criticism

Speaking on Ringer Wrestling, Ruca admitted that social media reactions can be difficult for wrestlers to deal with. She said that, being live performers, wrestlers want to know how fans are reacting to them through social media.

But even though there could be plenty of positive comments, Ruca feels that one negative comment can “strike a nerve” and make wrestlers doubt themselves. However, Ruca also agreed that online criticism is something they constantly deal with, and she believes it is something that is here to stay.

Ruca then addressed her RAW contract signing segment and admitted that she was already planning to stay away from social media because she personally was not fully happy with how it went. That was when Triple H called her.

The WWE CCO encouraged her not to focus on the online negativity and instead to trust how WWE viewed her performance.

“I did have Triple H call me after my debut with Becky and the promo and stuff, and he was like, ‘I just want you to know you did a great job.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, like I’m just going to stay off social media…not 100% happy with how it turned out.’ But he was like, ‘Honestly, we think you did amazing. Don’t worry about it. Don’t go on social media.’ He really just gave me that ‘Okay’ of like, ‘You’re fine…don’t care what people say. We think you did amazing and just keep doing what you’re doing,'” Ruca said.

WWE’s reaction backstage shows the company still has confidence in Ruca’s future. Following that botch moment, she had a match with top star Iyo Sky, and now, she is going to face Lynch in a match at SNME.
