The May 4, 2026, episode of WWE RAW was meant to be a big moment for Sol Ruca as she signed her contract and officially joined the red brand. The segment did introduce her well, but things didn’t go perfectly. A small slip during her finisher against Becky Lynch took away a bit of the momentum.
The segment started with General Manager Adam Pearce welcoming Ruca after a highlight video showed her rise in WWE. The crowd cheered for her.
Before she could say much, Becky Lynch came out and interrupted. The Man complained about not getting proper time for what she labelled her celebration. Her arrival changed Ruca’s mood.
Sol Ruca’s finisher attempt leads to an awkward moment on WWE RAW
Ruca hit back at Lynch. She called Lynch a “rude, big-headed btich,” and promised to “snatch” her “soul” if she got in her way. Ruca then signed the contract and warned Lynch not to mess with her again.
Things soon turned physical. Lynch tried to punch Ruca, but she dodged the underhanded attack. Lynch accidentally hit Pearce instead. Naturally, Pearce was shocked and angry at the former WWE Women’s Champion. Becky Lynch tried to apologize and explain the situation.
Just then, as Pearce was leaving the ring, Ruca went for her finisher, the Sol Snatcher. But this time, it didn’t go as planned.
As she jumped into the move, she seemed to lose her footing at the bottom ropes. The slip threw her off balance, leading to an awkward break of motion while Ruca tried to jump and flip. She also didn’t reach Lynch properly.
However, Lynch reacted quickly and helped control the move. The segment didn’t fall apart, and both managed to finish it without further issues.
The moment was more noticeable because Ruca is usually very clean with her moves.
But even after the botch, it was still a big moment for Ruca as she introduced herself to a larger audience. The segment did its job. It showed Ruca as a confident new star on RAW and set up a possible feud with Lynch.
