Killer Kross reveals whether he sees a potential future where he’s working in AEW.
Appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show, former WWE Superstar Karrion Kross was asked if he had any conversations with Tony Khan about potentially showing up in All Elite Wrestling.
Although Killer Kross declined to discuss his conversations with AEW in detail, he stressed that he has a great deal of respect for Tony and prefers to keep any discussions between them private.
“I have a tremendous amount of respect for Tony, and he knows that. I prefer to keep those conversations private out of respect for both Tony and myself.”
Kross noted that the possibility of working with AEW has never been off the table. However, after leaving WWE, he quickly filled his schedule with independent bookings through 2026 and was unwilling to back out of commitments for a larger opportunity. He explained that he takes pride in honoring his obligations to promoters and fans, particularly when championships are involved.
“I was booked all the way into 2026. I filled up my schedule immediately, and I’m very serious about my commitments. The only time I’m ever going to pull out of a commitment is if there’s something going on with my family or something is wrong with me.
“I’m not one of those guys who wants to just drop a title or disappear because a bigger opportunity comes along. I feel like that sends the wrong message to the local fans who paid to see you, supported you, and helped put you in a position to carry a championship. I really don’t like doing that.”
Killer Kross on financial stability after WWE exit
While Kross left the door open to a future AEW run if circumstances align, he stressed that he is currently content with his situation. He revealed that he studied WWE’s business model during his time with the company and has since focused on creating multiple revenue streams outside of wrestling appearances.
“I’m happy, and quite frankly, I’m super financially stable. When I was in WWE, I did my best to study the business model. I looked at how the company monetized different revenue streams, and since becoming a free agent, I’ve worked to build those revenue streams for myself.
“I’m not reliant on wrestling bookings alone. That’s something I’ve tried to teach independent wrestlers as well. If you’ve built enough exposure, there are opportunities to work directly with vendors and create additional income streams.”
He added that any potential deal with a promotion would need to be driven by a compelling storyline rather than financial considerations alone.
“If I go to any company, the story has to be there. That’s the most important thing before we even talk about money or availability,” Killer Kross said.
