Former WWE Star Reveals Wild Donald Trump Reference In Promo That Never Aired

Former WWE NXT star Simone Johnson, also known as Ava, recently shared a surprising story about a promo that never aired. She recalled finding an internal promo class video that featured a wild reference to the 45th and 47th U.S. President, Donald Trump.

At the WWE Performance Center, developmental talents regularly take part in promo classes to improve their microphone skills. Speaking on The Downside with Gianmarco Soresi, Simone Johnson talked about an internal website where talents upload promos and matches for others to view.

While discussing the site, she revealed one promo that has never been made public. She said one of the wrestlers was allegedly known for supporting Donald Trump and had a background related to running. During the promo, the wrestler referenced her opponent’s alleged support for Trump before delivering a line that caught everyone off guard.

“And the girl who cuts the promo, she goes, ‘Why don’t you ask your little friend Trump? Because the last person who said I ran got bombed?’ And that promo will never see the light of day. And I’m so mad, cuz I watched it with my partner and our friend, and we literally closed the computer and we all just walked away.

“Cuz I was like, ‘How, how, how does—Shakespeare himself could not put that promo together!’ And it was literally like 3 days after the war in Iran started. ‘Last person who said Iran got bombed.’ I was like, ‘Okay.'”

The former NXT General Manager previously made headlines following her WWE departure after publicly criticizing ICE and the Trump administration on social media. However, she recently explained that there wasn’t one specific reason for her departure.
