Nikkita Lyons Wins First Championship Nearly Four Years After WWE Debut

Nikkita Lyons has finally captured her first championship in WWE, reaching a milestone that had eluded her since arriving in the company nearly four years ago.

The breakthrough came at EVOLVE Succession III, where Lyons challenged Wendy Choo for the WWE EVOLVE Women’s Championship.

After years of stops, starts, and steady progress across WWE programming, Lyons entered the event determined to leave with gold.

By the end of the night, she had turned that prediction into reality.

Nikkita Lyons ends Wendy Choo’s EVOLVE Women’s Title reign

Ahead of the show, Lyons made her intentions clear on social media, confidently stating: “Succession III tonight on @Tubi. I will become your new Evolve Women’s Champion.”

The challenger backed up those words inside the ring against Wendy Choo, who entered the match as champion following a 70-day reign. Choo had won the title on March 20 and successfully defended it twice before meeting Lyons at Succession III.

The championship bout featured several twists before the decisive finish. Lyons initially attempted to use the title belt while both Choo and the referee were distracted by action outside the ring. Choo avoided the belt shot and nearly stole the victory with a roll-up.

However, the momentum shifted moments later. As the referee removed the championship belt from the ring area, Lyons grabbed her crystal, struck Choo with it, and followed up with a spinning front kick to the face. The kick connected flush and secured the three-count, ending Choo’s reign and crowning a new champion.

For Lyons, the victory represents more than just a title change. It marks her first championship reign since joining WWE and adds another layer to her growing presence within the company.

The new champion has also been featured on NXT alongside Natalya and Karmen Petrovic, giving her an enhanced role across WWE programming.

Now, with championship gold around her waist, Lyons has officially added a new chapter to her WWE journey — and this time, it’s a title-winning one.
