Mike Santana Fuels WWE Rumors With Cryptic New Post

Mike Santana’s new cryptic post has fueled rumors amid speculation about his WWE signing.

Former TNA World Champion Mike Santana’s future has been a talking point for the past few weeks after reports indicated that his contract with the promotion will be up by mid-July. He dropped the title to Nic Nemeth at Slammiversary last month, and it was later reported that he was not scheduled for any other shows, hinting that he’s done with the company.

Reports also noted that WWE is interested in signing Mike Santana and that he has the support of at least one main roster member. Now, he took to X/Twitter to share a cryptic message, mentioning the date July 15. Naturally, it had fans talking, and some believed it could be the date his TNA contract expires.

However, some also pointed out he could be teasing a return to AEW, since the promotion has a Dynamite taping in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 15. Santana previously acknowledged the WWE rumors, but noted that he was only focused on Slammiversary.

Mike Santana says he’s open to going anywhere

In a previous interview with Celebrate Wrestlings Mike McGuire, Mike Santana noted that he’s open to going anywhere he can grow as a performer, whether it’s TNA or any other promotion.

“As far as the future goes, I’m the type that growth is part of my life, and I feel like if there’s an opportunity for me to grow, then that’s what I’m going to do, whether it’s at TNA or anywhere. For me, if you’re not growing in this business, then what are you doing? If you’re not trying to progress in this business, then what are we doing?” Santana said.

“At the end of the day, I need to show my daughter that there’s levels to this. And also my dad used to always say the top of one mountain is the bottom of another. So keep climbing,” Santana concluded.
