#4.) A successful heel turn
By 2016, The Usos began to get stale and the crowd was quickly turning on the babyface act. They were tired of the colorful face paint and the excited jumping babyfaces, with The Usos themselves admitting that their association with Roman Reigns was one of the main reasons for the crowd turning on them.
However, after being drafted to SmackDown Live, they finally turned heel when they attacked the up-and-coming American Alpha. It was clear that their role at the time was to be the top heel team of the brand, and their turn was an overwhelming success. They were able to completely reinvent their characters and showed a whole new side of them, even winning the tag team titles again the following year.
Their successful heel turn would also lead to an organic babyface turn in late 2017…
