#4.) vs Finn Balor – NXT Takeover: Rival
This was the concluding period of Neville’s NXT run. He had lost the NXT championship and looked to get back in the title picture. But first, he had to go through the newest and fastest rising star on the brand – Finn Balor. They had faced each other before in Japan, but it would mark the first time they faced in WWE, and it was an NXT title #1 contenders match.
Balor and Neville both put on a fantastic effort. It was Balor’s time, however, and he would end up winning a great match. Though Balor didn’t win the NXT title on his first try, he would win it months later in Japan.
