#3.) Triple H vs Sting – WrestleMania 31

There was criticism about this match from the get-go. Fans felt that it was the one opportunity WWE had to finally give them The Undertaker vs Sting, but WWE instead had other plans for The Phenom. Regardless, looking at the bigger picture, Triple H vs Sting was still a big dream match.

The match in itself wasn’t too bad given that both were past their prime, but it did turn into a slightly overbooked mess. It was made worse when Triple H ultimately picked up the victory, a decision that nobody understood (including Scott Hall, who was bewildered that he came in only to put someone else over). Sting later stated that he did so because he felt it was likely his last match. He did wrestle another two matches for WWE before abruptly being forced to retire later the same year.
