Thank God For The Wisdom of Kevin Nash

The business of wrestling has changed. It’s a much more athletic game now. Just as it’s not about being tall anymore in the NBA. Seven-foot stiffs like Bill Wennington wouldn’t cut it the league in 2010, even on the Clippers. (Sorry to all fans of St. John’s basketball, members of the Wennington family and season ticket holders for the Clippers).

Guys like Matt Morgan have to work ten times as hard nowadays because “giants” aren’t booked as “attractions” any more in the world of guaranteed contracts. It is about balance… keep the audience happy but don’t give them everything under the sun. Leave the flying spots for the smaller guys but show the crowd something that makes you stand out. Morgan gave props to Nash for helping him out in TNA but Nash is way off target by knocking Miz and the WWE.

I am thankful for many things this Thanksgiving but this week, I am most thankful for Kevin Nash and his well-timed tweet to fuel nearly 900 words of column for me this week. More than 140 via Twitter, but quality, baby! Happy Thanksgiving!
