Wrestlezone’s Top 10: WWE Champions Of All-Time

Number 6: Bret Hart

Bret Hart

I will go on to say that Bret Hart is the best “wrestler” to hold the WWE Championship. After a long period of being trapped in a tag team, Hart worked his way to the top with unstoppable heart and soul. He would capture his first WWE Championship from Ric Flair in the early 1990’s. After four more reigns, Hart was the beat of the WWE. When WCW was dominating, it was Hart who still had to find some interest for the fans to watch Vince’s product. It was rough, but The Hitman did it. The wrestling matches were second to none, and his feuds were personal. Obviously, everyone remembers his feud with Shawn Michaels, that would turn into a real life story, but he also had some great matches with Sid, Ric Flair, and The Undertaker. He beat Undertaker twice for the WWE Championship, and that is something rare to say. I loved his professionalism, his dedication, and his unwillingness to be second best.
