Divas Action Heats Up

wwe smackdown Paige comes out and begins to bash Naomi and Tamina, calling Tamina her “boyfriend.” This prompts the two women to come out and they begin to attack Paige. Nikki Bella runs out and chases them off. She turns her sights to Paige and hits a Rack Attack. Revenge is what Nikki got tonight on Smackdown.

I really enjoyed this segment. It did SO much for all of the divas involved. They got good mic time, were able to spotlight the real heel in Naomi and continued the competitive aspect of what should always be the focal point in Divas feuds: the Divas Championship. As much as I want Charlotte on the main roster, maybe they need to wait until this 1-2 month program ends. Let her debut trump that of Paige’s from last year.

Why R-Truth?

R-Truth picks up a win against Stardust on Smackdown. He is in the Elimination Chamber match for the vacant WWE Intercontinental Championship in one week. My question is very simple: Why? Why does WWE continue to use him in this odd role, not seeing him for weeks and then throwing him in championship stipulation matches? Shouldn’t Stardust get the nod over him? How about Neville? Hell, give me Fandango or Adam Rose because they are actually used on a consistent basis.

I am not bashing the guy’s talent. Wait, maybe I am. He is just a lower card talent who can be used to get other people over. I simply do not find him interesting whatsoever. He is the only guy in the match that has NO chance of winning. On the other hand, there needs to be someone that gets eliminated early. Maybe there is a reason he is in there after all.

Aside from working with WrestleZone, Isenberg began his career in Broadcast Journalism interning at ESPN and worked with CBS Radio for three years. He has also had the opportunity to interview some of the best athletes and performers alive, including Andrew McCutchen, Ben Roethlisberger, Chris Jericho, Billy Gunn, Karl Anderson, Matt Hardy, Steven Strasburg and others.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
