Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown Live “New Championships and New Feuds”

Chad Gable and Jason Jordan pick up a relatively easy win on Smackdown against Tyler Breeze and Fandango. I am in favor of the Tag Team Tournament, but I feel like every match is already known who will win before the bell rings. Where is the drama? With that being said, American Alpha is by far the favorites here and should be champions. They can tease Jimmy and Jey or even tease us with Hype Bros and Heath Slater/Rhyno, but we all know that the team to focus on is the most athletic and entertaining tag team in the ring.

When you look at the rest of the lineup, expect all four face teams to win. I just cannot see The Vaudevillians picking up a win, even though I personally enjoy their gimmick. Smackdown has a bunch of average tag teams, with two legit championship teams. How do you fix this? Getting exposure to new teams and giving them credible victories over credible teams. Time can fix this. I also think Fandango and Tyler Breeze could be really good, as this match showed some versatility and creativity from their offensive sets in the ring.

The Next Opponent For Dean Ambrose

AJ Styles got an opportunity to fight Dean Ambrose for the WWE World Championship when he stated his case after beating John Cena. Dolph Ziggler wanted another shot, so if he would be able to beat AJ Styles tonight, it would be a Triple Threat Match.

An excellent match and Smackdown Live gave it about 20 minutes of television time. Dolph and AJ put on a much better match than the championship match from Sunday. I really enjoyed how it always seems Dolph will win, only to get in his own way. AJ Styles needed to continue his winning ways, especially since beating John Cena clean. If he lost to Dolph Ziggler tonight, it would crush his momentum from two nights ago.

I like AJ and Dean, but it is only a two week build? This could be a recurring problem for WWE adding these new Pay-Per-Views. AJ Styles is the right choice, but the build needs to be accelerated considerably over the next few weeks. How do they do this in such a short amount of time?
