Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Throwback To An Era of Attitude”

Jericho has a side headlock on Reigns. Reigns fights out of it, but Jericho floors him with a high dropkick. Jericho goes for another but Reigns moves out of the way Jericho ends up tied up in the ropes. Reigns clotheslines Jericho. Reigns charges at Jericho, but Jericho sends Reigns to the outside. Triangle dropkick by Jericho. Jericho misses a baseball slide. Reigns hits the drive by. Reigns calls for the Superman punch. Jericho moves out of the way and hits the lionsault for a long two count. Jericho hits the ropes but walks into a Superman Punch. Jericho kicks out. Reigns calls for the Spear. Jericho kicks Reigns in the head, then tries to hit the Codebreaker. Reigns catches Jericho and reversed it into a sit out powerbomb for yet another near fall.

Reigns beats on Jericho in the corner. The Referee backs Reigns up. Reigns goes for a shoulder block, but Jericho moves out of the way. Jericho rolls up Reigns for a two count. Jericho tries to transition into the Wall of Jericho, but Reigns powers out. Jericho hits a step up enziguri , then locks in the Walls of Jericho. Reigns gets to the rope to break the hold. Owens appears out of nowhere and superkicks Reigns. Jericho hits the Codebreaker, but Reigns still kicks out! Jericho yells at Owens to leave. Reigns tries to Spear Jericho, but Jericho leapfrogs him. Reigns hits the ropes and manages to hit Jericho with a Spear! Jericho is done.

When people complain about Roman Reigns in the ring, I begin to laugh at them. It is time to finally respect the guy and realize that he is a solid performer who can work with so many different opponents. From a technically sound Chris Jericho to a fast and athletic Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns sells like a pro and fights like a brawler. I like his matches and think tonight was a great bout with him and Jericho. The underlying story remains when will Chris Jericho finally turn completely on Kevin Owens. When will their payoff match be? Tonight’s championship match was another small addition into an eruption from Chris Jericho. Great ring work, psychology and further developing multiple storylines.

The Tag Team Championship Cluster…

As The New Day creeps towards history, The Club and Sheamus/Cesaro are battling for an opportunity to face them. I would expect it to be at WWE Roadblock. The match ends in a No Contest, as both teams got attacked after running into The New Day.

We can see what is happening. The record will be broken and new champions will come right after. WWE loves to break records and The New Day has deserved it. With a constant focus on entertainment and comedic relief, they are guys who push the limits and continue to enlighten us with their antics. They have hurt the development of a few teams, especially since they have continued to dominate the division. They are not going to really hurt the two teams aiming for their titles because they are ESTABLISHED.

When the time comes and you try and figure out who should be champions next, think of who can benefit the most? A former world champion and a guy who everyone thinks should be a world champion? Or, an actual TAG TEAM that dominated the world together? The answer is easier than you think.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
