Seems simple, right? This has been the talk and tease for the past six months. Sami Zayn fits Smackdown Live and fits what they are trying to accomplish. If Sami Zayn gets to head over with Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon in charge, you can bank on him becoming Intercontinental Champion by the end of the year.

Look, I love his in-ring work. He may be just below Styles, who I view as the best in the world. Zayn is a great performer, but moving him to Smackdown Live will not immediately make him a world champion. It will, however, give him an opportunity to develop more on the main roster and have a cult-like following that might eventually push him into becoming a world champion. If that is the case, you can call this a success.

If Sami Zayn heads to Smackdown Live, he can feud with people right on his skill level. Instead of being the whipping boy for Braun Strowman, he can compete with Dean Ambrose, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler and others. They can establish a strong undercard that can carry May and June. He can also be involved in a Money in the Bank Ladder match in June. All of this makes too much sense and his natural ability will be much better spotlighted on Smackdown Live.
