Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Lackluster Revelation, Lame RAW”

Rollins and Ambrose Want The Miztourage

WWE RAW started with two former friends, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. Both men talk about how they want to get their hands on The Miz and his group. Seth and Dean argue a bit back and forth until Ambrose says he does not trust Rollins. Seth ends up apologizing for what he did three years ago and offers a chance for Ambrose to hit him in the back. Dean grabs the chair and then tosses it to the outside. The Miz and Miztourage make their way to the ring and end up laying out the former Shield members.

It was a decent beginning to WWE RAW for a feud that I am not sure about. I want to see a clean break from Ambrose and The Miz and you can see the fans agree. Seth vs. The Miz would be a really good feud to head into SummerSlam, but I worry that something else happens and that the Intercontinental Championship might not be defended. If anything, Seth vs The Miz is a much better idea and match than having Ambrose involved again. Also, I would have loved to see Dean Ambrose hit Seth in the back, drop the chair and say “okay, we are good now.” I felt that could fit his persona much better than just forgiving him and not getting himself some. This all leads to next week, where a 2-3 Handicap Match will take place. Does it matter who wins?

A Rough Night For The Cruiserweights

Goodbye, purple ropes. Finally, WWE decides to stop with the color gimmick and let these 205 Live guys just work. Unfortunately, tonight was a very underwhelming night for this roster of superstars. Mustafa Ali and Jack Gallagher defeated The Brian Kendrick and Drew Gulak in tag team action. Relatively short, but none of these guys are getting much of a reaction at all. I find it crazy that WWE halted the push of Gallagher, considering he was the only Cruiserweight in the Royal Rumble match.

Titus Worldwide featured Akira Tozawa and Daivari in action later in the night. Titus, seeing his client hurt, stopped the match. These two segments are reasons why a 3 hour and 10 minute show can be unbearable at times. The lack of development, push and creativity makes this a bathroom break for 75 percent of the people watching. It sucks, especially since they are some of the most talented performers. WWE RAW crowds could care less if they do not see these guys on a weekly basis.
