#5.) Braun Strowman

It was another year of “almost there” for Braun Strowman. On more than one occasion, he’s almost been Universal Champion but just didn’t get there. He was in a throwaway title feud at WrestleMania 34 but ended up winning the RAW Tag titles with a 10-year old boy. Soon after, he won the Money In The Bank briefcase and it seemed certain that he was finally going to become Universal Champion.

Unfortunately, he cashed in for a PPV match and failed to win again. He had turned heel after Roman Reigns won the Universal title for a brief period, all until Roman Reigns made the announcement. Either way, his popularity and stock in WWE has risen and hopefully, 2019 will see him finally win the big one.
