#4.) Jerry Lawler vs Bret Hart- SummerSlam

This match was chaotic booking done right. Lawler was on Bret Hart’s trail for months, wanting to challenge him to a “King vs King” match. But at the beginning, Lawler offered Doink the Clown as a replacement. Now one must remember that heel Doink the Clown was absolute entertainment gold and one of the most underrated characters from that era.

Hart managed to decisively put Doink away and Lawler walked out. However, President Jack Tunney ordered Lawler to get in the ring else he would be banned from WWF for life. Lawler got in and it resulted in an incredible six-minute beatdown by The Hitman. Hart did make him tap out to the sharpshooter, but out of pure rage, he never let go and the referee reversed the decision, making Lawler the winner by DQ.

Owen Hart and Bruce had to come in to talk Hart down, but they too joined the beatdown of Lawler once the decision was reversed.
