#3.) American Alpha

American Alpha is a team that’s looked upon with a lot of sadness in hindsight. Not only did they have the potential to clearly become WWE’s #1 tag team, but both superstars were filled with singles potential as well. Unfortunately, WWE didn’t handle them well even on SmackDown during its peak in 2016 and in 2017, the team was somewhat relegated down the card.

However, with bigger plans for Jason Jordan in the mix, they were separated and Jason Jordan was sent to RAW, where he began the Kurt Angle son storyline. This, unfortunately, meant that Gable had to take a seat on the sidelines and wait his turn while Jordan was clearly getting pushed to be an eventual main eventer. Sadly, a potentially career-ending injury halted Jordan’s run in early 2018 and we never got to see Gable vs Jordan.
