2018 Wrestlezone Year-End Awards – Comeback Of The Year

While professional wrestling fans might be fickle, they really only had one choice when it came to comeback of the year. While many careers were reignited in 2018, only one return was as shocking as Daniel Bryan’s return from forced retirement to becoming WWE Champion. That’s why it should come as no surprised that he topped the fan voting with 45% of all ballots being cast his way.

Bryan’s wrestling return officially began at WWE’s biggest event of the year, WrestleMania. He wound up tagging with Shane McMahon as the duo took on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. He then had a lackluster feud with Big Cass, but then kicked it into gear with some fun matches against The Miz.

However, Bryan proved he hadn’t lost a step at all when he put on several brilliant matches on against AJ Styles for the WWE Championship, and had a fantastic bout against Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series.

We’re so glad to have Daniel Bryan back!
