The man responsible for attacking Bret Hart at the WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony, Zach Madsen, is scheduled to appear in Kings Criminal Court (NYC) this Tuesday (July 9). This is the first time he will be making an appearance in court since his original appearance back in April as there have been several delays and postponements of the trial since then.
The charges facing Madsen include two counts of assault in the third degree along with trespassing. Assault in the third degree is an ‘A’ misdemeanor in New York and can be punishable up to a year in jail per charge.
Bret Hart was examined by medical staff afterwards along with security guard Thaddeus Jones who had also been attacked by Madsen as he was making his charge towards the ring. Bret reportedly had pain and stiffness in his hip after the incident.
Stay tuned to Wrestlezone for updates as we get them at the conclusion of the trial this Tuesday.
