Kimber Lee (Kimberly Frankele) Due In Court For DUI, Assaulting A Police Officer

Kimberly Frankele, aka Kimber Lee, is due in court in a pre-hearing trial in relation to a May 11 arrest. According to Highlands County Court records, Frankele is being charged with the following counts :

  • Driving Under The Influence (1st offense)
  • Resisting arrest with violence
  • Battery on a law officer/firefighter/EMT

According to a police report filed about the incident (via PWInsider.com), Frankele’s vehicle was seen facing the wrong direction on U.S. 27 in Sebring, Florida. The vehicle then made a left turn onto the paved shoulder and nearly collided with the face of the guard rail. Once officer PJ Roberts made contact with Frankele, she was described as having bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. Frankele also kept forgetting why she was pulled over and asked several times, despite being informed of the reason.

Frankele finally handed over her driver’s license after being asked multiple times. She tried to leave several times, citing she needed to get her laundry from a laundromat. Roberts told her she couldn’t leave due to a suspected DUI, and then attempted to handcuff her.

Frankele struck Roberts in the chest to prevent being handcuffed. He then informed her she was being arrested for battery on a law enforcement officer. Frankele fought against being restrained multiple times. She also bit Roberts on the hand hard enough that it broke skin and bled. Once a second officer arrived, Frankele was finally restrained and taken into custody before being transported to Highlands County Jail.

Post Arrest

Roberts administered a breath test at the jail, where Frankele gave a sample of .140 at 10:22 PM. This is nearly double the .08 limit in Florida and five hours after the initial stop. Frankele was asked for a second sample but failed to comply and wouldn’t “give a sample on purpose.”

Frankele was officially charged on July 5 and pled not guilty to all charges on July 7 after being arraigned.

If convicted, the first-time DUI offense could result in six months in jail. Community service and fines, and revocation of a driver’s license could also be included. Additionally, the resisting arrest with violence and battery charges are third-degree felonies. Those charges could result in up to five years in prison or probation, as well as a $5,000 fine each if convicted.

Kimber Lee announced her retirement from pro wrestling on May 8, days before her arrest. She worked for CHIKARA, NXT and IMPACT Wrestling, among other promotions. She last wrestled for IMPACT in December 2021. IMPACT wrote her off of television after that, but she claimed that she was still under a paid per-appearance deal.
