A Future WWE: The FCW Story Now Streaming On WWE Network

Despite airing live after tonight’s Elimination Chamber PPV on the linear WWE Network, fans of the old days of developmental can now freely stream “A Future WWE: The FCW Story” on WWE Network. The 90-minute documentary takes fans behind the scenes of WWE’s first internally owned developmental territory, a foundational company that served as a crucial stepping stone to the brand now known as NXT.

Highlights from the full documentary include interviews with FCW owner Steve Kerin (known to WWF fans as Skinner) and many of the talents that cut their teeth in the warehouse just down Dale Mabry. Everyone from Seth Rollins and Baron Corbin to Byron Saxton and Heath Slater tells stories about finding their characters, attending promo class with Dusty Rhodes, and performing in front of bikers and bar patrons.

Other topics include second and third-generation stars that didn’t make it past FCW such as Richie Steamboat and Wes Brisco. There’s even a few shots of Jon Moxley and a mention of Juice Robinson, both talents now outside the WWE bubble that made their name in the Florida sun.

The special ends with Steve and several notable FCW stars visiting the former FCW Arena (known as the FCW Warehouse in the documentary). In the years since NXT’s TakeOver, the space has become a kid-friendly bounce house, but the talents still find a lot of nostalgia in the old structure. If you ever attended shows at the building, you’ll find a lot of fond memories there too.
