FTR Talk With Tony Khan About Matchup With The Motor City Machine Guns

Ever since Dax and Cash stepped foot in AEW, they’ve been on a collision course with The Young Bucks, a team they’ve been feuding with on social media for years. However, the current AEW Tag Team Champions won’t be satisfied with just a victory over AEW’s EVPs. In a recent appearance on’s The Push podcast, FTR stated that there is a wide range of competition they want to bring in and defeat to prove they’re truly the best.

You have the North that everyone wants us to work with. Josh Alexander and Ethan Page. The Dawsons. James Storm and Eli Drake, the NWA Tag Team Champions, Tama and T. We want to work with all those guys.

FTR singled out The Motor City Machine Guns in particular. The TNA veterans currently hold the IMPACT Wrestling tag team gold, and FTR has reached out to management to try to make something happen.

Just today there was a tweet about us and Motor City Machine Guns and we get those all the time but today I made mention of it [to Tony Kahn] so we’ve spoken about it. I would love to [work with them]. I mean if we’re going to go down as the greatest tag team of all time we need to work with the greatest and they are one of the greatest and we need to beat them to be the greatest.

AEW is no stranger to bringing in outside talent, even if they’re holding gold from other promotions. Will FTR be able to have their own Expedition of Gold within the confines of Daily’s Place? For their part, the Guns seem to be willing, with Alex Shelly tweeting towards the AEW champs earlier this week.
