After starting a hashtag movement and wishing for it for his birthday, Xavier Woods announced tonight that he will be joining G4 as an on-air talent, marking the first announcement for the company that’s planning a return for 2021.
During tonight’s “A very Special G4 Holiday Reunion Special” on YouTube Live, Woods made the announcement, which also helped kickoff G4’s Gravython, a multi-day charity drive that will be raising funds for a variety of partners. The famous television network aired from 2002-2014, and focused heavily on gaming and other aspects of pop culture. The brand is set to return at some point in 2021, and will see Woods join the company as an on-air talent, something he should have no problem doing thanks to his history as both a WWE superstar and host of his own series of YouTube channels and podcasts.
In a statement released by WWE shortly after the signing, Creed remarked that he couldn’t ever dream that this could happen, but is honored by the hiring. “Never in my wildest dreams did I expect #Creed4G4 to gain so much momentum among WWE fans and gamers alike,” he said. “As a lifelong video game fanatic, I have always held a genuine affinity for the G4 brand, and I’m honored and humbled to be joining the G4 team at a time when interest in gaming and the gaming community has never been stronger.”
