The COVID-19 surge, and the travel restrictions it is causing, already forced WWE to postpone a live event in Quebec. Despite this rescheduled event, the company had previously planned on holding the Toronto event with half capacity.
On December 26, several WWE stars missed their respective matches on two live events due to COVID-19.
Earlier on Monday, Fightful Select reported that, despite the surge, WWE is no longer requiring weekly COVID-19 testing.
