Gabe Sapolsky Released By WWE

Gabe Sapolsky has been released by WWE.

On Thursday, Gabe Sapolsky posted the following message on Twitter, leading to speculation that he had been released by WWE as part of the company’s latest rounds of cuts:

Looks like the end of the road. Thank you everyone. Love you all!

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp later reported that WWE confirmed Sapolsky had in fact been released.

Sapolsky signed a contract with WWE as a consultant in January 2018. His career has also seen him as the personal assistant to Paul Heyman in Extreme Championship Wrestling, the co-founder of Ring of Honor and EVOLVE, as well as the former Vice President of the World Wrestling Network (WWN).

Several producers, coaches and writers were included in the latest round of layoffs by WWE. “Road Dogg” Brian James, Ryan Katz, Ace Steel, Scott Armstrong, Allison Danger and Hideki Suzuki were among the names released on Wednesday. WWE issued the following statement about the releases:

“With the continued evolution of NXT 2.0, we’ve decided to part ways with some of the staff based in our Performance Center. We thank them for their many contributions throughout the years and wish them the best.”
