Men’s Money In The Bank Qualifying Match Ends In A Double Disqualification On 6/10 WWE SmackDown

Two long-time foes clashed with a chance at qualifying for WWE Money in the Bank on the June 10 episode of WWE SmackDown.

In the show-opening match, Drew McIntyre battled Sheamus in a battle of bitter rivals. Before the bout, Sheamus’ Brawling Brutes ally Butch confronted “The Scottish Warrior”, but the former WWE Champion got the best of the exchange.

The two powerhouses were evenly matched early on, but Sheamus gained the upper hand with a White Noise on the apron. He controlled the match for a few minutes, but McIntyre rallied. He planted Sheamus with a spinebuster for a near count. “The Great White” stole a page from McIntyre’s book with a Future Shock DDT for a two count of his own. Likewise, McIntyre hit a White Noise off the second rope for a near fall. Both men countered to go back and forth. Butch sacrificed himself and took a Claymore, and the interference gave Sheamus some breathing room. The competitors brawled around ringside, and they wound up hitting each other with chairs. The official called for the bell, and the show went to a commerical break.

When the show returned, both men kept fighting all throughout the arena until they were eventually separated. It’s currently unclear how the double disqualification outcome will impact WWE Money in the Bank.

WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
