Jake Atlas Has Domestic Violence Case Dropped

Jake Atlas is no longer being charged with domestic violence.

According to TMZ Sports, Jake Atlas (real name Kenny Sanchez) had his domestic violence case dropped because officials declined to prosecute him for the incident.

“From the investigation which has been made, it is the opinion of the writer that this case is not suitable for prosecution,” officials wrote in documents filed last week.

Atlas was arrested on May 23 for domestic violence against his partner. According to the police report, Atlas was drinking with friends at the bar before moving “to a female friend’s house to engage in sexual activities.” His partner agreed and they continued drinking at the new location, but the pair got into a verbal argument at the house due to Atlas’s partner showing “more attention to the female half” than to Atlas.

Atlas allegedly scratched his boyfriend and tore his tanktop during the incident. He was released from jail the same day of the incident and signed a no-contact order, and his original court date was scheduled for June 28.

TMZ asked prosecutors for comment and have not heard back yet, and Atlas’ attorneys declined to comment on the case.

Jake Atlas last wrestled on the January 7 episode of AEW Rampage against Adam Cole, which was also his AEW TV debut. Atlas suffered a torn ACL in the match and had surgery to repair the injury in February.
