Report: Sasha Banks And Naomi Removed From WWE Internal Roster

Fans have been wondering what is going on with Sasha Banks and Naomi, and now we might be closer to getting an answer.

According to a report from PWInsider.com, both Sasha Banks and Naomi have been removed from WWE’s internal roster. It was noted that there’s still no official indication the pair were released by the company, but the internal roster move was made within the past 24 hours.

PWInsider also noted that there are “rumblings” that Banks might do some non-WWE appearances this fall, but nothing is confirmed.

Sasha Banks and Naomi have been missing from WWE TV since they both walked out before the May 16 episode of WWE RAW. WWE addressed their actions on the broadcast and called the act “unprofessional” and later suspended them without pay and stripped them of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

On June 15, Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc. reported Sasha Banks had been released, but it was unclear whether she requested the release. Giri later added more details, writing that WWE Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs for Talent Relations, Erika Schreiber, granted Banks’ release and it happened on June 10.

There has been no official confirmation that Banks (or Naomi) have been released by WWE. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful stated that he has asked WWE about the situation, and they said they “hadn’t heard” that Banks had been let go, and no internal memos about the release had been sent out at the time of the original report. F4WOnline.com’s Dave Meltzer also reported that Banks’ release became a legal issue, as she brought in her lawyers to get her termination granted, but it was not official yet.

Despite the report that they were pulled from the internal roster, it’s worth noting that both Banks and Naomi are still featured on the WWE website as active talent.
