Eddie Kingston: I Prayed Sammy Guevara Would Hit The Ground When I Threw Him Off The Cage

Eddie Kingston doesn’t like Sammy Guevara.

In fact, when he threw “The Spanish God” off the cage during the Blood & Guts Match, “The Mad King” hoped he would hit the ground. Kingston created perhaps the moment of the night when he sent Guevara flying off the massive structure and crashing through a table.

During an appearance on Highspots’ Sign-It-Live show, when Blood & Guts came up, Kingston admitted that, in the moment, he prayed that the former TNT Champion would miss the table.

“Oh, I really wanted Sammy to miss that table,” said Kingston. “God, you know what I mean? There’s moments in time where you sit there and you go, I’m Catholic, so I sat up there, before I threw him, I said lord Jesus Christ, please let him muss that table. I would love to see him hit the ground.”

On the same show, Eddie Kingston made it quite clear that he doesn’t like Guevara. In addition to praying for the former TNT Champion’s doom, he took a shot at “The Spanish God” and noted that he doesn’t understand why people like him.

“Sammy sucks,” said Kingston. “I know people like Sammy. I don’t get it. I just don’t get it. I’m just saying, all the moves he does, the Bucks do and do ‘em better, and I don’t even like the Bucks.

“I hope he’s there Wednesday. I pray to god Sammy’s there Wednesday. I’m gonna f-ck him up. You guys think this is a joke, like this is all a work, since everybody likes to use the insider terms. I don’t like that little cocksucker.” (H/t Fightful)

Guevara later cost Kingston his Barbed Wire Anywhere Death Match against Chris Jericho on the July 20 episode of AEW Dynamite.
