Eddie Kingston is surprised fans embraced old lingo as much as they did with ‘Redeem Deez Nutz’.

Kingston recently appeared on Highspots’ Sign-It-Live show and commented on a fan asking him to sign ‘Redeem Deez Nutz’ on an item they sent in to be autographed. Kingston said he couldn’t believe it got over since it was something he’d been saying for several years.

“I can’t believe this thing got over, ‘Redeem Deez Nuts.’ I’ve been saying that since I was a kid, just like that new thing, ‘Bing bong’ or whatever, as we’ve been saying that since the 90s, and now it just got hot. I don’t get it. All the old lingo I used to use is now hot all of a sudden, and I can’t say it because I’m too old to be saying that kind of stuff.”

Kingston said the phrase to Miro while they were feuding over the TNT Championship leading into All Out 2021. He was told that someone had asked Miro to write it too, and Kingston had a good laugh over “The Redeemer” getting his just due.

“Who did I [say that to?] Oh yeah, Miro. That’s who I said it to. [someone said someone asked Miro to write that] Did he? That’s funny. He had it coming. There’s not a lot of people I like in that locker room. He’s one of them I don’t like. Surprise.”

Eddie Kingston made no bones about not liking Sammy Guevara in a recent interview. Read more about how he was hoping Guevara would hit the ground when he threw him off of the Blood & Guts cage at this link.
