IMPACT Wrestling Results – July 28, 2022

The show opens with a video package highlighting last week before we take it to the ring for the opening contest.

Eddie Edwards vs. Ace Austin

The renewed rivalry started with Eddie attacking Ace from behind. Ace used his high flying tactics to hit a dive through the ropes and to the outside. The bout ended with Edwards hitting a Liger Bomb followed by the Die Hard Driver for the three count.

Winner: Eddie Edwards

Backstage, Heath said he’ll keep attacking every member of Honor No More one by one if he has to.

Alex Shelley interrupted Josh Alexander’s backstage interview.

Laredo Kid & Trey Miguel vs. Johnny Swinger & Zicky Dice

Trey hit Dice with a reverse 619 early on. Dice and Swinger tried double teaming here and there but it kept back firing. The finish saw Miguel hit Swinger with a Meteora before Laredo Kid hit a Frog Splash for the pinfall win.

Winners: Laredo Kid & Trey Miguel

Bhupinder Gujjar tried to challenge Brian Myers for the IMPACT Digital Media Championship again. Crazzy Steve informed Myers that Black Taurus is getting the next title match.

OVW Showcase Match: Tiffany Nieves vs. Jada Stone

Nieves and Stone made their IMPACT debuts with a lock up to start. Nieves tended to dominate and a DDT before using the ropes for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Tiffany Nieves

After the match, Killer Kelly debuted/returned and took out Nieves. Tasha Steelz was on commentary for the match was shocked by Kelly’s arrival.

Chris Sabin, Scott D’Amore, Sami Callihan, Kushida, Trey Miguel, and Jimmy Jacobs spoke about Alex Shelley winning his contender’s match before Johnny Gargano joined in the vignette to offer his thoughts.

Shera vs. Josh Alexander

Josh attempted to clothesline Shera three times out of the ring before finally landing it. Their brawl ended up back in between the ropes where Alexander eventually trapped Shera in the ankle lock for the submission victory despite Raj Singh trying to distract.

Winner: Josh Alexander

Backstage, Moose says he didn’t need Steve Maclin tainting his victory at Against All Odds.

Honor No More confronted Scott D’Amore about there being a conspiracy against them. Later, D’Amore found Honor No More messing with the production truck. He announced that if they lose to Bullet Club at Emergence, they will have to disband.

Raj Singh through a fit in the ring before Sami Callihan came out to shut him up. The Death Machine called out Maclin and Moose and said he doesn’t care if they are working together or not.

Kushida vs. Rich Swann

Kushida made his IMPACT debut in the main event. The bout started with a handshake followed by Kushida attempting different locks. Swann turned the tide with a number of kicks and slaps. Kushida worked his way up with a Hover Board Lock off the top and onto the mat where Swann tapped out.

Winner: Kushida
